With the opening of Hearthside Commons in 2000, assisted living has taken a dramatic step into the future while preserving the values and caring traditions that have governed our facility since its founding.
Each apartment offers a bright, sun-filled environment with safety features, comfort and convenience. Standard with each residence are the following amenities and services:
A full schedule of daily recreational programs is available to all residents, including concerts, trips, shopping excursions, religious services and group activities. Transportation to off-site programs is provided by our own van service. And so, after more than a century of service, the heart of compassion and care that has long distinguished the Job Haines Home continues to beat as strongly as ever. Only the body is new. |
The Job Haines Home has been a pioneer in the concept of “assisted living,” even before that term came into popular use. From our beginnings over a century ago, we have been dedicated to the independence, dignity and well-being of each resident.
Fifty-six units featuring studio and one-bedroom apartments offer private baths and kitchenettes. Hearthside Commons residents are able to enjoy the optimal combination of both personal privacy and communal living.
Each resident enjoys restaurant-style dining with three expertly prepared meals daily in a beautifully appointed dining room. Residents are offered a variety of entrees at each meal to meet individual tastes and preferences. In addition, snacks and beverages are available throughout the day. There is a beauty salon and a barber shop on site. A Registered Nurse and a staff of personal care attendants are available 24 hours a day to provide assistance as needed, including medication administration.
